ring,fingers & its meaning

i actually did not plan to blog at all this week because im a lil tired of catching back study week & event is around the corner & of course with the stuff for training makes my mood kinda unstable.

the reason why i suddenly post this is because i got curious of the answer when today someone suddenly asked me the reason why im wearing a ring??is it given by boyfriend??[for those who din know or din realise, i have a ring on my left index finger] so i got curious of the answer that i could get because i never thought of the meaning when i bought the ring. i bought simply because i saw someone wearing it on that finger & i wan do the same too..i used to have ring on my left little finger..have that ring on since form 3 until i came mmu..then lost it.i cried too because that ring was so precious to me.so i went & get another similar one until it lost again somewhere after one year..fed up of losing the ring that means a lot to me i din wear any ring again PERMANENTLY until recently..

so i look up at the net & saw some article that are very funny to me..haha..maybe after this you guys will think carefully before wearing a ring unless accessories are always ONLY a FASHION for you..then you can ignore this..

1st article-->

Wearing rings on different finger would represent:

Thumb - Independent, Strong

Pointer - Expecting love

Tall-Man - In love, or Engaged.

Ring-Man - (left hand) Married!
Well, some business women wear rings on ring-man of Right hand, presenting that they prefer not to marry (at the moment, maybe).

Tiny - Divorced, or Enjoy being single

this is rather simple & short..but if like this, does it means that im expecting love??haha..so i must really enjoy being single last time..

The first major factor to consider when analyzing a person’s hands is the concept of left and right being reflections of the subconscious and conscious mind, respectively. The wearing of rings will reveal areas of inhibitions, restrictions, or emphasis in the social realms governed by that finger.

The left hand is a reflection of man’s instinct and those beliefs and attitudes that are buried deep within the subconscious mind. The right hand is a reflection of man’s logical mind and those personal thoughts and preferences that are consciously known even though they are not always discussed openly.

The Thumb: Willpower

Points to the self in a moment of personal pride, that closes over a fist when personally attacked. It is associated with the total self … the thumb represents the self

A person who consistently keeps the thumb well separated from the rest of the fingers is a person who insists upon freedom of thought and action. This person values independence and the more prominently the thumbs are displayed, the more important is the sense of freedom at that moment.

The Index Finger: Authority

This is the finger that wags in disapproval, that gestures informed or stubborn expertise, that indicates silent direction and commands. It is associated with leadership and ambition. It is rather interesting to note those fashion seekers who wear rings on their index fingers.

The Middle Finger: Identity

This is the finger most often used in obscene gesturing when one wishes to express an offense to personal dignity. This seems to be the finger with the most strength and balance, rooted firmly in the center of the hand. It is associated with our role in life, practicality, and the regulation of the foundations and limits of self. This finger announces “I am” and governs the way we see ourselves, our potentials, and our limitations.

A ring on this finger can announce that the person is unsure of personal roles or a place in society.

The Ring Finger: Creativity

Associated with affections, optimism, and artistic appreciation…This finger governs the potential of the shared self - what a person creates for self and for others as well as the legacies left after passing on. Such creativity extends to physical creation as well as material and mental creation.

The ring finger on the left hand is the only one with a direct connection to the heart. It is therefore more than coincidence that this became the finger that we restrict with a band at the marriage ceremony. It is a self-imposed restriction of the subconscious desires to share the self with others. A wedding, friendship, or engagement ring announces that the person’s creative fantasies are limited to the donor of that ring.

The Little Finger: Relationships

This finger expresses man’s attitudes toward personal and sexual relationships. It is associated with rewards, both on a personal and materialistic level. A wide space would indicate freedom and independence of action in relationships with people and in all money-making endeavors. A more closed position would indicate that the person is less free with confidence, attentions, or speculations in finances. This finger indicates the person’s confidence in dealing with money - especially the ability to attract money through other people. The little finger also relates a person’s attitude about sexuality and relationships with the opposite sex.

To wear a ring on the little finger might announce an insecurity in relationships with people, perhaps even a sexual insecurity.

ok...so all this while i actually depending on my subconscious mind to pick a ring?? & oh great im actually looking for more power now..or more like authority...the phrase "ring on the little finger might announce an insecurity in relationships with people, perhaps even a sexual insecurity" sound so err... to me coz i dunno juz feel so..cant comment..

anyway moving on to 5th -->

Kings, priests and healers wore rings on the index finger because that finger was thought to be especially powerful. Medicines were applied to the body with the index finger to give speed and power to their effect. Even today, wearers of healing gemstones wear the rings on the index finger to take the best advantage of the curing energies.

The strongest magical tradition that still holds fast today is the one about the third or ring finger. The ring finger was thought to contain a nerve that went directly to the heart. Wearing a wedding or engagement ring on the ring finger still symbolizes the binding commitment and union of hearts. The Meaning of Fingers When Wearing Rings:

Right Hand vs. Left Hand

In the dual nature of man, the right and left hands are part of his whole being yet represent his twofold conscious and subconscious mind. The left hand (the subconscious) is a reflection of his deeply buried instinct, beliefs and attitudes. The right hand (the conscious) reflects his logic and his awareness. Wearing rings on your left hand could symbolize your unknowing wish to strengthen the powers associated with the finger that wears the ring. Rings on the right hand reflect your desire to control your life and actions.

The Thumb: Will Power

The thumb represents the self. Set apart from other fingers but working in unison with them to give strength to the hand that the others cannot, the thumb symbolized our self in our world. It is associated with logic and will power which govern our actions. Rings on the thumb symbolize freedom and independence of thought and action.

The Index Finger: Authority " Ambition

This finger reflects our need to enhance our ego. The forefinger, throughout history, has represented authority and power. It is associated with leadership and ambition. Kings, priests and healers wore rings on the index finger because that finger was thought to be especially powerful. Nowadays, people wear rings on the index finger as a show of assertiveness.

The Middle Finger: Identity " Materialism

The middle finger is associated with our role in life. Being in the center of the hand, it symbolizes personal identity and those things that are at central to our world. Those wearing rings on the middle fingers are well balanced yet wish to be at the center of attention.

The Ring Finger: Emotion " Creativity

The third finger is associated with affections because it is the one with a direct connection to the heart. It also represents our creativity and artistic self. A wedding or engagement ring on this finger proclaims to the world that the wearer emotions and creative goals are committed to the giver of the ring. If the ring is acquired by the wearer instead of a mate, it symbolizes self worth and a commitment to one personal skills and talents.

Little Finger: Relationships

The little finger is at the opposite end from the thumb. While the thumb symbolizes the inner self, the little finger is associated with others outside of ourselves. It sits on the outside of our hands, facing the world. It is the relationship finger, expressing our attitudes towards other people, sex, and the material world. Rings on the little finger represent confidence and independence in personal and business relationships. Rings here can also express a person attitude about sexuality and how appealing they consider themselves to be.

ok now all of the sudden i become a person who craves for authority & ambitition??

no comment..absolutely speechless..karlai said something to me earlier "sometimes we must kill our curiousity"..now i believe it..haha

my opinion??juz wear whatever you like unless you believe in such things & juz ignore it if you dun..i think evyone got their own principles in life and also what they believe and what they don't..so juz follow your heart..as me,i gonna wear ring on this finger until it got lost again then i'll decided then whether to continue wear or what-so-ever..unless 'something' do really happen then i might reconsider this..

this is for pure fun-reading because i got pleanty time before later 5pm lecture..haha
